ALI İHSAN GÖKÇEN

Istanbul Technical University Mathematics Engineer. He worked in the IT sector and in the IT centers of various banks for many years. He has been a professional freelance photographer since 2002. He has been involved in photography since 1989. He took part in the board of directors of IFSAK and served as the chairman of the board of directors. He is a founding member of the Turkish Photographic Art Federation. He is particularly interested in documentary photography and nature and travel photography. He is the founder of the Nature Photographers Group and is the instructor of the "Nature Photography Seminar". He is involved in nature photography education studies in many cities of Turkey. He has been one of the photography instructors of IFSAK since 1984. He gives special photography training and consultancy to many institutions. He was a jury member in many photography competitions, including the Press Environment competition. He won the Şinasi Barutçu Cup in 1998. There are many photography awards in national and international photography competitions. The "Art and Environment Award" was given by the Istanbul University Faculty of Forestry in 2000. He has been working as a freelance photographer for many years in many magazines such as Atlas and Skylife and his interviews have been published. He works on photography that enriches the DHKD archive and forms a source for many of his books. He teaches photography at Istanbul University Faculty of Forestry.
